Git doesn't track directories, just files, so dummy files are necessary to preserve empty directories. These directories were not empty though. Removing the dummy files avoids GMenu2X scanning them on startup.
This can be used to override weird automatically constructed messages such as "Launching Power Off".
It was "Reboot the dingoo", but the gcw0 is a different device. Instead, it has been changed to "Reboot the system".
