Later on pdev is used with legacy pci dma api as pci_dev thus causing oops sometimes. The patch replaces legacy pci dma api and pass relevant device struct pointer to avoid crashes. Before you could only do: # sh ipcalc.sh 192.168.0.0 255.255.255.0 1 10 IP=192.168.0.0 NETMASK=255.255.255.0 BROADCAST=192.168.0.255 NETWORK=192.168.0.0 PREFIX=24 START=192.168.0.1 END=192.168.0.11 with this patch you can also execute it with: sh ipcalc.sh 192.168.0.0/24 1 10 IP=192.168.0.0 NETMASK=255.255.255.0 BROADCAST=192.168.0.255 NETWORK=192.168.0.0 PREFIX=24 START=192.168.0.1 END=192.168.0.11 The patch is based on #1260 [1], i just changed one line to calculate the START end END ips right. I wonder why that never got included. If there is no reason not to do i would like to ask you to commit that patch, because its a functionality i (and probably others) miss quite often. Btw, i also fixed 4 useless tabs, that might look a bit strange in the patch. This is an alternative to breaking these modules out into kmod-crypto-wq (crypto_wq.ko), kmod-crypto-rng (rng.ko and krng.ko), and kmod-crypto-iv (eseqiv.ko and chainiv.ko). These packages provide some missing kernel crypto modules which are required for IPSEC. The strongswan4, ipsec-tools, and possibly other IPSEC packages do not work properly without these modules. NOTE: The KCONFIG associated with each of these modules gets selected whenever CRYPTO_MANAGER (kmod-crypto-manager) is selected so these modules are already being built. lars	5c317523d8	kernel: revert r24160 (remove the bogus ext2/ext3 dependency on linux 2.6.30/31) ... For kernel versions newer then 2.6.31 the ext4 module can be used to mount ext2/3 filesystems. It also corrects a bug in the unsupported ESFQ method already used by qos-scripts. (ESFQ: http://fatooh.org/esfq-2.6/ only updated to 2.6.24, it was switched to an SFQ patch after that and not updated since 2008) A class can be forced to use SFQ, and an external classifier added like this: config class "Normal" option avgrate 10 option priority 30 option packetdelay 100 option limitrate 94 # option qdisc "sfq perturb 2" config class "Normal_up" # option filter "protocol all flow hash keys src divisor 1024" config class "Normal_down" # option filter "protocol all flow hash keys dst divisor 1024" Using these options, the user needs to load cls_flow before qos-scripts starts. Allow a redirect like: config redirect option src 'wan' option dest 'lan' option src_dport '22001' option dest_port '22' option proto 'tcp' note the absence of the "dest_ip" field, meaning to terminate the connection on the firewall itself. This patch makes three changes: (1) moves the conntrack module into the conntrack package (but not any of the conntrack_* helpers). (2) fixes a bug where the wrong table is used when the "dest_ip" field is absent. (3) accepts incoming connections on the destination port on the input_ZONE table, but only for DNATted connections. In the above example, ssh -p 22 root@myrouter would fail from the outside, but: ssh -p 22001 root@myrouter would succeed. This is handy if: (1) you want to avoid ssh probes on your router, or (2) you want to redirect incoming connections on port 22 to some machine inside your firewall, but still want to allow firewall access from outside. The current driver in kmod-rt2800-lib is based upon PCI, not SoC. The WLAN LED drivers in rt2800lib.c set the LED brightness via an MCU request, but do nothing for SoC. This patch checks for SoC and sets the register to enable the WLAN LED (instead of an MCU request). This fixes the WLAN LED for RT305x devices (such as the HW550-3G). This results in the bridge assigning a random mac address to its bridge interface and therefore IPv6 assigning a matching link local address to the bridge interface as soon as the bridge interface is up. After adding the first bridge port interface, the bridge's mac address is reset correctly, however the IPv6 link local address stays the same. This commit ensures that we are at least having the IPv6 link local address of the first interface added to the bridge instead of a random one. blogic	d779c21114	[dropbear] ... r25831 reduced the size of the dropbear executable by, among other things, disabling support for keyboard-interactive authentication. The default sshd configuration on Mac OS X only permits keyboard-interactive and public-key authentication, so unless a public key is set up, the default OpenWrt ssh client is now unable to connect to Mac OS X hosts. This patch re-enables keyboard-interactive authentication. In my tests, this increases the size of the stripped dropbear executable by 416 bytes on mips and 1,104 bytes on mipsel. In my opinion, such a small space savings isn't worthwhile when the resultant executable is severely hamstrung. nbd	768662b701	mac80211: allow AP configuration of beacon interval, DTIM period, maximum permissible STA listen interval, and basic rates ... This introduces beacon_int and basic_rate (per wifi-device), and dtim_period and max_listen_int (per wifi-iface) for mac80211. These configure the beacon interval, basic rate specification, DTIM period (one DTIM per this many beacon frames), and maximum listen interval that a STA will be permitted to associate with. All of the new settings are optional; if they're absent, the existing hostapd (or, in the case of basic_rate, driver) defaults will be used. The existing bintval property only used for type adhoc is moved from wifi-iface to wifi-device, and is renamed to beacon_interval because bintval isn't a great name. The beacon interval is property of the wifi-device; while the choice between wifi-device and wifi-iface may not be relevant with an adhoc network, there's no reason to configure the same property one way for type adhoc and another for type ap. This change isn't expected to cause many problems, as bintval was added recently, in r25111. Similarly, the list of basic rates, also added for type adhoc in r25111, is a property of the device and not the interface. Further, it ought to be represented in UCI as a list, not a string dependent on the format that iw uses. I’ve moved it onto the device, renamed it to basic_rate, and made it configurable for APs via hostapd. Finally, I adapted it to use the same kb/s representation as mcast_rate; there's precedent for this format in that it's also how madwifi interprets mcast_rate. Neither bintval nor basicrates were ever documented in the UCI wireless configuration page on the wiki. When this change is committed, I'll update the documentation as needed. nbd	d1c117a8ef	soloscli: allow user to apply settings to solos h/w before bringing up network (patch by Philip Prindeville) ... If the network/wan configuration contains "solos0" ... "solos3" then this list of strings will be applied to the FPGA when the hardware is hotplug added. The syntax should be "tag=value", as per the values enumerated in the solos-attr.c list. In the canned example, the modem is temporarily turned off, told to detect noise, told to disable annexes M and A (effectively putting it into pure ADSL mode), and re-activated. There's probably a more appropriate function name than "dialog" but that's what I came up with. nbd	a76eddd489	ath: fix world regulatory domain fix-up so that all regulatory rules are processed ... r24503 (trunk) and r24505 (backfire) revised the regulatory rules used for the ath drivers' world regulatory domains in the 5GHz band by opening up channels 36, 40, 44, and 48 to being used without the *_PASSIVE_SCAN and *_NO_IBSS flags set. This was done by breaking ATH9K_5GHZ_5150_5350 into two REG_RULES. With this change we can double the thruput of ath5k from 15Mps to 30Mbps. jow	9e660acd6b	[PATCH] Package dnsmasq init-file ... If an already running DHCP-server is found on the configured interface, the init-script refuses to start, but does not give a hint why. It took us some days to track down this behavior in our MANET, where every wifi/adhoc-node runs it own DHCP-server. Now syslog is more verbose on this.
